Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make adjustments to a suitable installation height in accordance with the height of a ceiling wall.SOLUTION: A cylinder 5 of a damper 3 is housed inside an article of furniture T and, a rod 6 penetrates the upper face of the article of furniture T, with the upper end mounted with a base member 8. In the lower end of the cylinder 5, a rack member 4 extends downward. Inside the article of furniture T, a gear box 10 is attached and, inside the gear box, a pinion gear 12 is installed that meshes with the rack teeth 4A of the rack member 4. With the adjustment dial of the pinion gear 12 rotated, the entire damper 3 can be raised or lowered through the engagement of the pinion gear 12 with the rack teeth 4A. As a result, the installation height of the damper 3 can be adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
