Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a zener diode with a relatively small rated power by stopping the oscillation of a transformer momentarily when the zener diode fails due to short circuit even if the zener diode is connected to any line of a secondary side output.
SOLUTION: A zener diode D9 is provided between the base terminal of a transistor Q3 for stopping transistors Q1 and Q2 for oscillating a transformer T1 and a rectification diode D2 for rectifying pulses from a drive coil L2, thus enabling the transistor Q3 to momentarily react with a small amount of fluctuation of pulses from the drive coil L2 due to a small amount of fluctuation at a secondary side load and hence turning on the transistor and hence stopping the oscillation of the transformer T1 momentarily.
