This overwrapping machine comprises a film feed roller 8 to feed continuously a film web FW with the register mark printed thereon a film cutter 12 to cut the film web FW while synchronizing with feeding a film suction belt 40 to carry a cut film sheet S to a packaging passage 4, a pusher to press an article A to the film sheet S and feed it to the packaging passage 4, a register mark sensor 46 to detect the register mark of the film web FW, and a controller 44 having a function of correcting the film cutting position corresponding to the register mark by controlling feed speed of the film web FW based on a detected signal from the register mark sensor 46 when a pitch of the register mark deviates.
