Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance recording efficiency of disc by realizing seamless writing of new data onto a recording/reproducing disc thereby eliminating the linking region. CONSTITUTION:In view of recording/reproducing unit onto a disc 3, data prior to CIRC(interleave) depends on data at two preceding subcode frame and following frames on the disc 3. Consequently, when data at addresses Ab-Ae are written onto the disc 3, the region between (i) and (j) is influenced with subcode frame unit on the disc 3. Data of Ab-(one subcode frame) and the like is then read out from data Ab-(two subcode frame) for two subcode frames, respectively, in front and rear at the addresses Ab-Ae prior to interleave which depend on the data region between (i) and (j). According to the methode, seam can be eliminated between data at the addresses Ab-Ae.
