Abstract:
To secure more diagnostic chances while precisely diagnosing an oxidation catalyst.SOLUTION: A diagnostic device of an oxidation catalyst comprises: an HC adsorption amount estimation part 102 for estimating an HC adsorption amount which is an amount of carbon hydride adsorbed to an oxidation catalyst 42; a temperature increase amount estimation part 103 for estimating a temperature increase amount of the oxidation catalyst 42 based on the estimated HC adsorption amount; a determination part 120 for determining whether the oxidation catalyst 42 is normal by comparing the estimated temperature increase amount with a temperature increase amount based on a detection value of catalyst temperature detection devices SN6, SN7; and an HC decrease amount estimation part 130 for estimating a stop-time HC decrease amount which is a decrease amount of carbon hydride adsorbed to the oxidation catalyst 42 while an engine is stopping. An estimated value of the HC adsorption amount when the engine is operating is corrected, based on the stop-time HC decrease amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
