Abstract:

To provide a phosphor excellent in a controlling property of electric conductivity and exhibiting fluorescence in a visible region.

The oxide comprises at least four kinds of elements: a first element which is In, a second element M2 selected from Ga, Al and Fe, a third element M3 selected from Zn, Mg, Ca, Sr, Co and Mn and a fourth element M4 selected from Eu, Ce, Tb and Tm, and when the composition ratio of elements constituting the oxide is represented by the formula: In:M2:M3:M4=1:x:y:z, the formula satisfies the following relations: 0.5≤x≤5, 0.5≤y≤5 and 0.01≤z/(1+x)≤0.5.
