Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R is lower alkyl; R1 is (lower alkyl-substituted)cycloalkyl or (phenyl-substituted)alkyl].
EXAMPLE: 3-(p-Isobutylphenoxy)propionaldehyde oxime O-isopropyl ether.
USE: An insecticide. It exhibits excellent activity against juvenile hormone participating in metamorphosis which is characteristic phenomenon of insect and has extremely high exterminating effect against insects of Diptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, etc.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II [A is -CHO or group of formula III (r1 and r2 are lower alkyl)] with a compound of formula RONH2 in a solvent (e.g. alcohol) at room temperature W 70°C for 2 W several tens hr.
