This compsn. comprises 0.5-95wt.% hydrogen peroxide, 0.1-70wt.% compd. which reacts with hydrogen peroxide in an aq. soln. to form an active bleaching species, 0.1-50wt.% at least one org. glycol solvent represented by the formula (wherein R and R' are each H or alkyl provided the sum of the numbers of carbon atoms of R and R' is 0-8; X and Y are each 0-8 provided X+Y is 1-10; E is an ethylene group; and P is a propylene group). and water accounting for the rest. Pref. the compd. which reacts with hydrogen peroxide in an aq. soln. to form an active bleaching species is a cationic or amphoteric compd.
