Abstract:
To provide an oxygen isotope-labeled carboxylate compound useful as a supply source of oxygen isotope.SOLUTION: There is provided an oxygen isotope-labeled carboxylate compound obtained by reacting pivalonitrile represented by the following formula or substituted/non-substituted benzonitrile, oxygen isotope-labeled water (HO), and a base in an organic solvent such as methanol. The oxygen isotope-labeled carboxylate compound generates an oxygen isotope-labeled ester compound by a reaction with an organic compound such as substituted benzyl halide, and further can generate oxygen isotope-labeled alcohol by a reaction under a basic condition such as a sodium t-butoxy treatment in methanol. Ris F, a perfluoroalkyl group, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group; n is an integer of 1 to 3; and X is Li, Na or K.SELECTED DRAWING: None
