Abstract:
To provide an oxymethylene copolymer composition having a mechanical strength and rigidity comparable to those of oxymethylene homopolymer and having excellent thermal stability.
The oxymethylene copolymer composition is produced by the copolymerization of trioxane and 1,3-dioxolane using a cationic active catalyst by adding (a) 0.01-0.5 pt.wt. of an antioxidation agent for a sterically hindered phenol, (b) 0.01 pt.wt. and 0.1 pt.wt. of a base stabilizer for an amino-substituted triazine and (c) 0.03 pt.wt. of a metal-containing compound to 100 pts.wt. of a crude polymer obtained by using 0.01-1.0 mol% of 1,3-dioxolane based on trioxane, and stabilizing the product.
