Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for the bromination of aromatic compounds with ozone, wherein the aromatic compound is reacted with a bromide source in the presence of ozone at a pH of less than or equal to 7. The process according to the invention is also suitable for reaction in non-aqueous media.
