Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the discharge power capacity and to improve the discharge performance by making a hydrated FeVO4 manufactured by a specific method in an amorphous condition by a specific method, and using such a material for a positive electrode active substance. CONSTITUTION:A hydrated FeVO4 is obtained by separating by mixing a water solution including vanadic ions such as verious vanadates and a water solution including iron ions such as various iron (III) conpounds, or by separating by adding ammonia solution after a crystalline FeVO4 is dissolved once in nitric acid. The hydrated FeVO4 is heat-treated in the atmosphere, in a vacuum, or in an inert gas ambiance at the temperature 100 deg.C or more and less than 474 deg.C to make into an amorphous condition. The amorphous FeVO4 is mixed and kneaded with a binder, and pressure-formed to manufacture a positive electrode plate.
