Abstract:
PURPOSE:To save energy and to excellently control the furnace by correcting the melting in accordance with a ratio of the actual weight of the charged scrap to the maximum weight of the scrap capable of being charged into the furnace and obtaining the set electric energy. CONSTITUTION:The weight ratio expressed by the equation is obtained by a correcting circuit 3 to set electric energy, and the corrected melting rate corresponding to the ratio is obtained. The melting rate corresponding to the additional feed weight is obtained by a melting rate arithmetic part 4, the corrected melting rate is subtracted from the melting rate to obtain an appropriate melting rate. The power unit requirement is multiplied by the actual charged scrap weight by a multiplier 1, the product is multiplied by the melting rate obtained by the arithmetic part 4 through a multiplier 2, and the set electric energy in the normal charge is obtained. Consequently, the appropriate set electric energy value is obtained in the arc furnace equipment, and energy is saved.
