Abstract:
The signals are introduced into at least one semiconductor laser amplifier of the resonant type (2), in the vicinity of the active layer (14) of this amplifier, the latter being polarised below its threshold current and having at least one resonant wavelength adjusted so as to coincide with the wavelength of at least one of the optical signals, so that this optical signal alone is amplified by the amplifier and the voltage present between the terminals of the amplifier is detected, in order to obtain in the form of an electrical signal the information transported by the amplified optical signal, when the angle between the polarisation direction of said signal and the direction of the active layer is small. For application in the production of optical receivers.
