Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a packet without being attended with increase in a scale of a radio base station and in power consumption by retrieving a sender address registered in an address table so as to generate a packet while using an address of a corresponding transmission station for an address of a reception station. SOLUTION: When a radio base station (AP) receives a radio packet, the base station discriminates whether or not an address of a reception station is coincident with a MAC address of its own station. When the packet is not addressed to its own station, the base station aborts the received packet, and when it is addressed to its own station the base station identifies a type of the received packet. In the case of a packet B (between APs), an address of a transmission destination station (transfer destination ATA) and an address of a transmission station (transfer source AP) are registered in an address table in cross-reference with each other. In the case of a packet A (from STA to AP), whether or not the destination STA denoted by the destination address is registered in an assignment table is discriminated, and when the destination STA has already been registered, a packet C (from AP to STA) is sent to th destination STA.
