Abstract:
A mechanism to control and monitor a yarn cutter, at a loom, generates at least one electrical signal on rotation of the drive motor shaft, which is passed by the control electronics to the loom control. On the omission of a signal, the weaving action is stopped. Also claimed is an apparatus with a monitor (4) at the shaft of the electromotor (10) or at least at the shaft shrouding. A second monitor (3) is outside the rotating zone of the motor shaft. Both monitors (3,4) register the motor shaft rotation.
