Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a measuring instrument which is free from such a trouble that a product produced by a fluidized bed granulating machine may be polluted by a sensor, and detects such a detail as a flow rate at each height in a fluidization chamber to grasp the fluidity in detail and a method for controlling the fluidity using the instrument. CONSTITUTION: In a fluidized bed granulating machine, the granulation of powder, the coating of granules, and the drying of the coated granules are conducted by introducing hot air into a fluidization chamber 2. Sensors 10a composed of a projector 11a for projecting light to cross the inside of the chamber 2 horizontally and a light receiving element 12a for receiving the light projected from the projector 11a to pass through the chamber 2 are arranged to be different in height. The flow rate of powder or granules at the height of the sensor 10a is detected on the basis of the decrease rate of the quantity of light received by the element 12a to measure the fluidity of powder or granules in the chamber 2 as a whole.
