PURPOSE: To provide the solid processing agent for the silver halide photographic sensitive material not only superior in luster but also high in strength, not causing scratches on the film in processing the photosensitive material and any stain on rollers in an automatic developing machine and any precipitate in a fixing bath and a bleach-fixing bath.

CONSTITUTION: This solid processing agent for the photosensitive material is prepared by tabletting the processing agent containing a water-soluble lustering agent, preferably, such as boric acid, DL-leucine, alkali metal salts of fatty acid, those of lauryl sulfate, and those of benzoic acid, adipic acid, fumaric acid, sodium sulfate, and polyethylene glycol, especially, alkali metal salts of lauryl sulfate and benzoic acid and polyethylene glycol.
