PURPOSE: To easily carry out the comparison observation between the preceding and succeeding images by displaying a series of plural images at a same time, in an image display method at an image work station.

CONSTITUTION: A series of images stored in a magnetic disc are read out in the order of arrangement of the image data and the read-out image data is displayed in the arrangement order of the images from one edge of a plurality of TV monitors 4a-4c to the other edge through a display circuit. When the display image is renewed, a part or the whole of the image data of the display circuit is replaced, and the whole of a plurality of displayed images are shifted on the contiguous TV monitors 4a-4c in succession and displayed, and the image at the next rank or the preceding rank in the arrangement order is displayed on the TV monitors 4a and 4c at one edge and the other edge. Accordingly, a series of plural images are displayed at a same time, and the comparison observation between the preceding and succeeding images can be carried out easily.
