PURPOSE: To perform ink jet recording to various kinds of recording mediums from rough recording paper to a film which does not absorb ink, without causing ink after recording to be faded by ultraviolet rays, air and the like, in respect to a method of and a device for ink jet recording wherein recording is performed by jetting ink droplets from a nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: An ink receptor 1 is formed by applying a thermoplastic resin 1b, which is melted at a temperature lower than a melt temperature of a transparent plastic film 1a, to said transparent plastic film 1a. Ink jet recording is performed by jetting ink droplets from an ink jet nozzle 4 onto the side of the face of the ink receptor 1 where the thermoplastic resin 1b is applied, and a recording medium 10 is laminated on the side of the face of the ink receptor 1 where the thermoplastic resin 1b is applied, so as to contact closely to the ink receptor. By melting the thermoplastic resin 1b under heating, the ink receptor 1 and the recording medium 10 are permitted to adhere to each other.
