PURPOSE: To form a coloring image having continuous gradation like a direct photograph or an electric signal by a method wherein a coloring material acceptive layer consisting of at least one kind of resin and a hardened product of a silicone compound is provided onto a base material.
CONSTITUTION: Resin water dispersion liquid of natural rubber latex, styrene/ butadiene copolymer latex, polychloroprene latex, polyacrylate ester emulsion, etc., is prepared. After providing a resin water dispersion liquid coated film by a suitable printing method or a wire bar coating or the like method from the above-mentioned resin water dispersion liquid onto a base material of plain paper, synthetic paper, a plastic film, etc., an acceptive layer is formed by drying and a sheet to be thermally transferred is obtained. Further, when a mold releasing layer is laminated on the accepting layer, a mold releasing property between the acceptive layer and a thermal transfer layer of a thermal transfer sheet is combined with the thermal transfer sheet wherein the thermal transfer layer is provided onto a side surface of the base material, and heat energy is applied to them, a coloring material in the thermal transfer layer can be transferred to the acceptive layer.
