Title:
DECORATIVE MATERIAL OF BUDDHIST ROSARY-LIKE GLASS PARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0692694
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a material of decorative glass having fantastic brilliancy or brightness by providing a light transmitting substrate glass plate with a transparent layer composed of an adhesive resin layer and planting transparent or translucent Buddhist rosary-like glass particles in the layer in an exposed state or a half immersed state.

CONSTITUTION: A transparent layer consists of a light transmitting substrate glass plate and an adhesive resin layer and all of rosary-like glass particles have a constitution provided with light transmission performance to form the whole with a material of decorative glass. An optical axis sent from Buddhist rosary-like glass particles planted in the adhesive resin layer in an exposed state or a half immersed state is refracted, diffused and reflected to show specific visual effects. The rosary-like glass particles having 1-15mm particle diameter in the longer direction are readily handleable and the rosary-like glass particles having ≤10mm are more preferable. In the case of obtaining difference in particle diameters, the ratio of the particle diameter in the longer direction is at least 1:≥3. For example, colored glass particles having relatively small particle diameters as a main constituent component are blended with the rosary-like glass particles having large particle diameters, subjected to matte processing to exhibit brilliant and totally reflecting luminance.
