Title:
ELECTRONIC TONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0764347
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide electronic toners not containing the unreacted materials of charges which hinder the movement of toner particles and induce the flocculation of the toners.

CONSTITUTION: The electronic toners contain extremely strong chelating molecules which are extremely weakly associated with the resin sections of the toner particles 11 by covalent bonding and are electrically neutral to charge functional groups and which contain a charge inducing agent to embody charge sepn. The weak association on the resin is obtd. in a desired metal form by a known ion exchange technique. The resin bonded with cations is added into the dispersion of the liquid phase chelate molecules, by which the metal ions are parted from the resin and are bonded in the chelate rings. The toner particles 11 and the chelate attain an equil. There are, therefore, no other unreacted charge materials in the dispersion. The excess charges which are the cause to disturb development do not exist.
