Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a reordering device having constitution capable of previously distributing one input cell to plural prescribed outputs and easily receiving a cell constituted of many sub-cells. CONSTITUTION: The reordering device has a label generation device TSG for sticking a temporary label to each cell, a buffer memory BM, an address memory FSAM for storing the address of the initial sub-cell of each cell, a link memory, and a control unit CU for detecting the address of a buffer memory including the initial sub-cell of the cell. The device has also a memory allowed to be accessed in accordance with the contents of a cell to store identifiers TSTP-OA; TSTP-OM during the waiting of the cell (provided that each identifier is a marker memory for identifying at least one output to which a time slot and the cell are sent at the completion of the waiting time) and capable of writing a marker at the waiting of the cell to search the time slot for ending the waiting/time of the cell, markers are read out from the oldest one and only a corresponding output is used when the output can be used.
