The packaged foam coating detergent for clothing can be obtained by filling a foam coating detergent composition comprising (a) a compound to be represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 is a 7-23C hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 1-3C alkyl group; and R3 is a 1-6C alkylene group or an alkenylene group), (b) a surface active agent other than component (a), and (c) water in a container capable of coating the detergent on the article to be cleaned in the form of a foam.
