To easily and sanitarily handle fruit vegetables during the boxing or retailing, and to automatically perform the boxing work by a machine by packaging a prescribed number of fruit vegetables with a sheet-like film, opening vent holes, and feeding the package into a packaging box by a carrying device.

One or a small number of fruit vegetables are packaged using a film 2, and vent holes are opened in the whole area or a part of the film 2. Packaged fruit vegetables 3 are horizontally arranged in a row on a carrying body 4 such as a belt conveyor with arbitrary intervals, and carried by the carrying body 4 in this condition, and dropped into a packaging box 5 made of corrugated fiberboard, and boxed. The packaged fruit vegetables 1 are automatically arranged in a row in the packaging box 5 by intermittently moving the packaging boxes 5 to meet the feeding intervals of the packaged fruit vegetables 3. The packaged fruit vegetables can be stacked by a desired stage, and boxed in the packaging box 5 by lowering the packaging box 5 by one stage, and returning it to the original position.
