Title:
PACKAGING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008013225
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a packaging apparatus holding a packaged article between two film sheets fed out of two film rolls, and heat-welding the sheets at the front, rear, left, and right to package the packaged article, which prevents shift of welded front ends and formation of a wrinkle or welding folded sheets.

The packaging apparatus includes a transfer belt, a detection sensor for sensing the front/rear ends of a packaged article, and a control means of a conventional apparatus, and further includes a film driving means capable of causing at least one film roll to feed a film at a speed lower than that of the transfer belt. Before the start of packaging, a slack is given to the film to reduce resistance caused by the forced insertion of the article, and the film driving means is driven when the packaged article held between films is transferred by the transfer belt. The film driving means is kept driving until the moment at which the slack reduces to zero so as to alleviate tensile force impact, and is stopped following that moment. After completion of heat-welding at the rear end of the article, the film is given a slack again for the next packaging.
