PURPOSE: To provide a means for wrapping which is compact and capable of rapid transferring at a downstream side of a wrapping wheel.

CONSTITUTION: A boxed article A put into each of pockets 3c in a wrapping wheel 3 as it rotates continuously is transferred in a circular arc. While the boxed article is thus transferred, a holding mechanism 3e holds a packing sheet B, which has been fed from a sheet-feeding mechanism 3f, in a manner of covering the opening into the pocket 3c. As the pocket 3c approaches a position for delivery P2, the pocket 3c in the wrapping wheel 3 and a pocket 4c in a wrapper-attaching wheel 4, which is to face the packet 3c, are both made to oscillate for a specific range along the respective circumferences. The moment that the two pockets 3c, 4c are held in alignment with each other, a pusher 3d is thrust out to move the boxed article A into the pocket 4c in the wrapper- attaching wheel 4 in a manner of transfer.
