PURPOSE: To mount a baggage-carrier on a bicycle while a main body of the carrier is being covered with a packaging bag for packaging a carrier for a bicycle by forming through-holes, through which both legs of the carrier are projected, in the packaging bag at positions corresponding to those of connecting parts of the legs on both sides of the carrier, respectively, under the condition that the main body is packaged in the packaging bag.

CONSTITUTION: When a baggage-carrier 13 for a bicycle is shipped from a maker, the whole baggage-carrier B manufactured is packaged in a packaging bag C, whereby a main body 7 and legs 8 of the carrier B are protected and prevented from being damaged. On the other hand, at a bicycle shop, the seal at an end 26 of the packaging bag C is opened to withdraw the carrier B up to its intermediate portion from the end 26 of the packaging bag C, thus leading the fastening parts 18 of the legs 8 up to the vicinity of through-holes 28 of the packaging bag C. Then, the positions of the through-holes 28 are adjusted in such a way that they are located at the fastening parts 18 of the legs 8, and the fastening parts 18 are projected outside the packaging bag C through the through-holes 28. Then, the main body 7 of the carrier B is returned into the packaging bag C, and the legs 8 are mounted on a bicycle under the condition that only the legs 8 are projected outside the packaging bag C through the through- holes 28.
