To provide a container for snacks or the like which is suitable for a vending machine for beverages, which is configured so as to be manufactured at low cost and recycled easily, and furthermore, prevents the crush of the snacks or the like.
The packaging container has a cylindrical paper tube, a first sealing member fitted to the peripheral wall of one of openings so as to be freely detached from it, and a second sealing member fitted to the peripheral wall of the other opening. The openings and peripheral walls of the paper tube are covered by the first and second sealing members. The first and second sealing members are formed of paper or plastic or a composite material of paper and plastic. Since a barrel is formed of the paper tube, the container can be manufactured at low cost and recycled easily. In addition, the paper tube excels in cushioning performance. Accordingly, when the container is caused to fall, for example, into the outlet of the vending machine, the paper pipe absorbs an impact applied by snacks or the like colliding with the internal wall of the container, thus preventing the snacks or the like from being crushed.
