To provide a packaging device which can make a pricing work for articles to be packaged more efficient by using a printing processed film, and at the same time, can make characters and patterns or the like of the printing processed section effectively function.
This packaging device 1 folds in the end section of a film F to the opposite surface from the surface being pressed in an article to be packaged by pressing the article to be packaged (a commodity G and a tray T) to the film F which is held by tension. When packaging is performed by using a film F2 on which a POP (point-of-purchase) advertisement P1 or the like has been printed in advance, a control section 9 performs a control for each section in such a manner that the packaging may be performed while rather suppressing the stretching degree (pulled degree) of the film F2 compared with the case in which the article to be packaged is packaged by using a solid color film F1.
