Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new packaging device that can contribute to power-saving by reducing consumed power by a vacuum pump and the number of times of maintenance.SOLUTION: A packaging device comprises: a conveying belt that conveys a film while suctioning the film via a plurality of suction ports; a negative pressure chamber, arranged at the backside of the conveying belt, which applies negative pressure to the suction ports; a vacuum pump that decompresses the negative pressure chamber; a detecting portion that detects conveyance speed of the film; and a control portion that determines a deviation between the detected conveyance speed and set speed of the conveyance belt, stops the vacuum pump when the determined deviation is within an allowable range and drives the vacuum pump when the determined deviation is out of the allowable range. This can decrease operation time of the vacuum pump and suppress consumed power by the pump.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
