PURPOSE: To automatically process a series of packaging works such as folding both side ends, top and bottom ends of a cylindrical film in which a sponge is contained, etc., at a specified location.

CONSTITUTION: A packaging device has a rotating disk 20 which interlocks with the transfer movement of a transfer conveyor 7, cam part C which is fixed on the rotating disk 20, supporting unit 9 which synchronously reciprocates by the rotating of the rotating disk 20, and second folding unit and first folding unit 11 which are supported by the supporting unit 9 and driven by the cam being fixed on the rotating disk 20 by an on/off control. The supporting unit 9 is driven by interlocking with the rotating disk 20, and the second folding unit and first folding unit 11 are driven by the controlling of the control unit. By this method, a series of packaging processes are regulately and assuredly performed, and the device itself becomes compact.
