To provide a packaging and filling method which enables the remaining amount of a product in a tank to be correctly set.
In the packaging and filling method, paper containers are molded from a blank, a liquid food is rapidly filled into the paper containers which are longitudinally conveyed by a conveying means by a filling means from the upper opening of each container at a filling station, and the upper opening is closed and heat-sealed to manufacture products of the containers filled with the liquid food. For completing the manufacturing, the countdown to the completion of the manufacturing is started at the countdown start level of a tank 34d according to the predetermined formula: when reaching the countdown number, the filling is completed to set the amount of the liquid food before a change in the tank, a fixed delivery pump and a flow passage to be the remaining value, and the manufacturing of products of the containers filled with the liquid food is stopped.
