Title:
PACKAGING OF JAPANESE-STYLE JELLY CONFECTION SUCH AS "KURI-YOKAN"
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS565051
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To pack a Japanese-style jelly confection such as "kuri-yokan" (bean jelly with chestnuts mixed up) rapidly and efficiently, preventing the crystallization of sugar in the confection, by pouring the raw materials of the confection into a box made of a plastic film and fitted in a partitioning frame or a vessel having a desired base area, and convering the surface of the raw materials with a piece of base paper.

CONSTITUTION: A box 3 made of a transparent plastic film or sheet having heat- resistance and water-resistance, is inserted in a partitioning frame 1 or a vessel having a desired base area. The box is formed to fit with the frame 1, etc. In case of using a partitioning frame, it is placed on a mount made of a highly heat conductive material such as a metal, while the vessel is not necessarily placed on such a mount. The box 3 has a margin 3b above the rim of the frame 1, etc. The raw materials of the Japanese-style confection, such as "kingyoku" (a mixture of sugar, starch syrup, agar, etc. boiled down and solidified in a mould) A, chestnuts B, bean jelly C, etc., are put into the box 3, and after 10W15min, a piece of base paper 4 is placed on the surface of the raw materials. The margin 3b is folded and sealed to close the opening part 3b of the box.
