To provide polyamide film which shows high durability and a superior performance required for a packaging material for a paper container by vapor- depositing a silicic compound film all over the film, as the polyamide film which contains a microlaminar silicate dispersed substantially uniformly in polyamide using a plastic base material film.
The packaging laminate 30 comprises a first and a second lamination material units 30a, 30b joined together with an adhesive material layer 34 and the unit 30a has a rigid but foldable core layer 32 made of paper or paperboard and an outer coat layer made of a thermoplastic plastic 33. The unit 30b is formed of a silicic oxide layer 37 containing carbon which is vapor-deposited on the inside face of a polyamide base material film 36 containing a laminar silicate and a plastic film layer 31 laminated on the outside face through an adhesive material layer 35. The oxide layer 37 formed by a plasma-excited chemical vapor deposition process endures a stretching stress to some considerable extent until the layer 37 breaks. Thus this oxide layer 37 is useful especially when it is assembled into the lamination material and a liquid food is sealed.
