Abstract:
To provide a food pack having an improved preservation period and a method for packaging the same.
A cut 5 of red meat on a tray 3 is led into an envelope 7 of a gas permeable film, and ends 9, 11 of the envelope are sealed close to ends of the food and tray combination 3, 5. The film envelope 7 is then shrunk into contact with the meat and the tray 3.
