Abstract:
To provide a packet forwarding device provided with a protocol database management device for unitary managing data of communication protocols.
The packet forwarding device stores input lines and output lines and is provided with a protocol processing part 1 which processes data of a plurality of communication protocols for determining an output line for forwarding a packet received from an input line. The protocol processing part 1 is provided with a protocol database management part 3 for unitary managing databases which are provided for communication protocols respectively and store data of communication protocols therein.
