Abstract:

To simplify the processing for routing a packet between networks.

A virtual routing transmission reception section provided to a sender side data processor generates a packet of a physical layer for a 2nd network in a gateway-use data processor 1b to transfer an IP packet generated by the sender side data processor connecting to a 1st network to the 2nd network. Upon the receipt of the physical layer packet for the 1st network including the packet by the gateway-use data processor 1b from the 1st network, a virtual routing transfer section 61 segments the packet of the physical layer for the 2nd network from the received packet and transfers it to the 2nd network via a device driver 51b and an adaptor 12b. In this case, the virtual routing transfer section 61 does not calculate the check sum of the received IP.
