Abstract:

To improve transmission quality under a simple control at the time of transmitting packets by using a CPU.

In a data transmitter TS, a parity packet is generated for every four packets to be transmitted, and the parity packet is inserted into the data packets, and the data packets are transmitted. On the other hand, in a data receiver RS, each time the parity packet is received, the presence or absence of the dropping of the data packet is judged by using the parity packet. When the dropping is detected, the dropping data packet is specified based on a sequence number applied to the received data packet instead of a transmission origin port number, and the dropping data packet is reproduced based on the received data packets and the parity packet.
