PURPOSE: To obtain a proper compression value by measuring a distance between a mounting face and a compression receiving plate when the receiving plate begins to move in an opposite direction with compressive force at a proper value or higher wherein an object is interposed between the mounting face of a rising elevator and the receiving plate, the object is compressed vertically.

CONSTITUTION: When an object B is mounted on a wrapping sheet A, the sheet A is bent so that a lower face B4 is in contact with a mounting face 1a of an elevator. The elevator 1 lowers with a compression measurement switch operated, is bent into an approximate U-shape along a bottom B4 and both sides B1, B1 of the object B and stops at the lower end position, when compression receiving plates 3, 3 protrude above the object B. When compressive force is at a proper value or higher and the plates begin upward in an opposite direction, the rising stops and a measured length value H is displayed. If the compression value H and a size of the object are input, a wrapping sheet A of the smallest size is selected and displayed. When the object is removed, the sheet A with an adhesive tape adhered is supplied and a switch is operated, the sheet lowers by the compression value H with a predetermined amount added to it.
