Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize the space and reduce discontinued times even when the film of same width is used, by providing a means of memory and detection of the width, a detection means of completion, and a judging means of changingover according to the film width, in a packing device automatically selecting and changingover the upper and lower rolls of film.
CONSTITUTION: When a film has been exhausted in the just prior packing, CPU in the controller judges whether the same kind of film roll is set or not in other stages by a control program contained in ROM (ST1). Subsequently, it judges whether or not the film roll on the other stages has finished (ST2) and if it not yet finished, the used film is changed over to other stage (ST4). Next, the stage where the using film set to be stored in the memory of using stage is positioned, is stored in the memory. Namely, a plug is changed over (ST5). When the film roll in the film set of the other stage has been finished in the step ST2, it is indicated (ST3).
