Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepared a disk brake pad improved in heat resistance as a buffer material and usable for a high load disc brake without anxiety by compounding a buffer material with a specific granular material. SOLUTION: In this pad for disc brake prepared by combining (A) a metal back plate, (B) a friction material coming to contact with a disc and (C) a buffer material intervening between the component A and the component B, the component C is compounded with (D) a powdery or granular material of a normal chain or branched chain resin having a melting point of ≥200°C under normal pressure. Further, it is preferred that the component D has a heating loss of ≤50% at 450°C and is composed of a polyarylenesulfone, a polyarylenesulfide or the like, the compounded composition of the component C includes steel fiber or the like, and a steel fiber is compound in the compound B.
