Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent mistake in page-turn over due to attraction of a page or a damage to a book original by providing an attraction means attracting an end of a highest page of the book original, a turned-over page accommodation section, a turned-over page sensing means and a rising position calculation means for a page end to the system.
CONSTITUTION: The read mode of a book original is designated through the depression of a BOOK key of an operation section 99. Then an original platen is raised through the depression of a print key of the operation section 99, the book original is struck onto a carriage and fixed thereat. Then a lower side fluorescent light is lighted and the carriage is scanned in the left direction and reaches a left home position. Then the carriage is scanned in a right direction and a picture of a spread book original is read and data subjected to picture processing are stored in a frame memory 104. Then the carriage is scanned in the left direction and the picture is read and an IPU 103 senses a right end of the book original. When a turn-over belt reaches a right end of the book original, the turn-over belt attracts a page and is raised. The IPU 103 calculates its rising position.
