Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open an end leaf page, even when multiple opening is caused in the middle of continuous opening.SOLUTION: A page opening device for a booklet comprises a carrying part for carrying the booklet, a page opening part for deflecting one spread surface side page in the opened-state booklet in the crossing direction with the carrying direction of the booklet, a detection part for detecting that a cover of the booklet is deflected and a control part for setting the first number of pages for opening, deflecting one spread surface side page by controlling the page opening part and executing page opening processing for moving a page deflected by carrying the booklet to the other spread surface side by controlling the carrying part. The control part eliminates deflection of a deflected page when detecting that the cover is deflected, and sets the number of pages fewer than the preset first number of pages for opening as the second number of pages for opening, and executes the page opening processing again.
