Title:
PAGINAL IMPOSITION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005231193
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To manage without returning to a previous process when the correction of paginal data become necessary in a following process under the condition that imposition is performed at a imposition process in two processes or in a platemaking imposition process, in which the layout of the paginal data is performed in units not influenced by the specifications of printing machines so as to produce platemaking imposition data, and in a machine plate imposition process, in which the platemaking imposition data is laid out so as to produce machine plate imposition data.

This imposition method is an automatic imposition method utilizing the information allotted to printing machines formed in the platemaking imposition process. A platemaking format setting process in the platemaking imposition process is a process for producing platemaking format data through the inputting of various data necessary for a multi-paginal imposition. The various data necessary for the multi-paginal imposition are a width direction and a rotational direction for platemaking, a paginal width size, a paginal machine-directional size, a widthwise "gutter" between pages, a machine-directional "gutter" between pages, a top margin, a left-hand side margin or the like and further various marks without the page such as registering marks for such as a signature, a back signature, a nigger head or the like and, furthermore, a paginal order number allotted for platemaking, top edges and tail edges of respective pages. In the platemaking format setting process, a platemaking format is formed through the inputting of the various data. The formed platemaking format is stored in a platemaking format file in the fashion of electronic information.
