PURPOSE: To improve durability at low temp. and high temp. by incorporating butadiene rubber having a carboxylic group, poly N-glycidyl epoxy resin and solvent into a paint.
CONSTITUTION: When the paint composition is prepared by incorporating butadiene rubber having a carboxylic group, poly N-glycidyl epoxy resin and solvent, and is used as a protective coating film for structural material, durability of the film at low temp. and high temp. can be improved. By using this paint composition and a magnetic paint prepared by incorporating magnetic powder into the butadiene rubber having a carboxylic group and the poly N-glycidyl epoxy resin as a solvent, durability of the magnetic layer, back coating layer, base layer and top coating layer of a magnetic recording medium can be improved.
