Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect painting defect with high precision, and with a simple device configuration, without depending on height or tilt of car's outer peripheral surface.
SOLUTION: A painting defect inspection device for optically inspecting a painting condition comprises a stripe light source which projects a specified stripe pattern on an outer peripheral surface 1a of a car body 1, and a CCD camera 6 which, while moving relative to the outer peripheral surface 1a including the stripe light source, images the outer peripheral surface 1a vertically to the moving direction, and the image taken by the CCD camera 6 in time- series manner is processed to detect a painting defect of the outer peripheral surface 1a.
