PURPOSE: To provide a painting method by which a pattern and a character or the like are easily drawn without necessitating post-processing such as baking and the surface of the material to be coated is glossy and durability such as resistance to a detergent, resistance to alcohol and resistance to hot water is exhibited.

CONSTITUTION: The surface of the material to be coated is coated with a synthetic resin having adhesive properties for the material to be coated. The surface of the synthetic resin is baked. The coated surface of the backed synthetic resin layer is used as a drawing face. A pattern and a character are drawn by using a marking pen filled with an ink penetrating into the synthetic resin layer. The ink is fixed by penetrating it into the synthetic resin layer.
