Abstract:
The invention relates to a palladium jewelry alloy comprising 58.0 wt.% to 76.5 wt.% palladium, 0.5 wt.% to 41.5 wt.% silver and/or copper, 0.1 wt.% to 15.0 wt.% of at least one element selected from the group comprising gallium, germanium, and indium, and 0.1 wt.% to 10.0 wt.% zinc. Preferably, 0.05 wt.% to 5.0 wt.% tungsten and/or cobalt can also be contained. The alloy can further contain 0.001 wt.% to 1.0 wt.% of at least one element selected from the group comprising iridium, rhodium, and ruthenium. The alloy according to the invention is exceptionally suitable for the production of semi-finished products for the jewelry industry, in particular for the production of tubes and rings.
